This type of information is simply not available in other travel books, Lastly, you'll keep these books as a reference. Overall, a beautiful book that you will enjoy long after your trip.

I personally do not review many products unless they are really bad, or in this case exceptional.This book is awesome! Maybe it is because I am new to using guide books, but I can't image a better book. I read a number of reviews prior to my purchase and my 2 week trip to Istanbul which lead me to this one. I have to say that its small size and wonderful insight makes it a must. I am not much for reading history and thought that the book was a bit dry until I landed in Turkey to experience it for myself. I began with the introduction and history, but used the book to help me locate key locations.Here is how I found the most useful way to use this guide:1.) Skim through it looking for points of interest as well as other locations near by. This is great to do the night before or the morning of so that you can plan your day of tourism.2.) Go there and don't forget the book.3.) Since the best way to travel in Istanbul is by public transportation there is also a change to read while traveling to your locations.4.) Explore the locations using the approach from the guide or just wing it (personally I found it best to use it as a guide and then explore on my own).5.) Once you have finished your day and settled in it was wonderful to go back to the guide and read more about the locations I visited. This gave me a chance to bring into context what I saw.6.) After reviewing where you had been, why not pick you next locations for the following day.I am not much for history as a study, but when it comes to living history you can't beat the experience as well as the help this guide brings! I would say that with the guide my trip was at least 10 times as pleasurable and insightful. There may be better, but this was so good it does not leave you wanting.One last piece of advice...I found that without having someone who knows Turkish with you it is not the easiest tourist destination. There are ways to get by, but knowing the language provides so much more opportunity. You will also find that everything costs more if you are not with someone who is native.Have fun and happy travels!

This book is in the same genre as 'Eyewitness' with lush illustrations and colour. Possibly more detailed in historical information. Arranged thematically. An excellent armchair companion guide for before or after a trip. I would take 'Eyewitness' with me for the practical information (pictures of bus tickets; how to pay a dolmus driver; what to say to alight from a dolmus). But I am so pleased I purchased this book as well. Will tuck it into my bag next time, space permitting.

Although dated, it is still the best guide. Where to go and how to get there along with history and comments from literary travelers of the past. Great walking guide is great. Can do it in two days or spread it out over four days. One book with all the history a tourist needs.

I've scrutinized a bunch of guide books about Istanbul and Turkey, but I can easily say that I've never met that kind of detailed and well-pictured book on Istanbul. Especially the historical (Ottomans, their architecture) pictures are awesome. The only negative critic about the book for me is the out-of-date photos. For example, the Turkish policemen do not wear those uniforms and most of the bills (banknotes) that were shown inside the book are out of circulation.

About the Author

Ben Rosander first became interested in bus conversions about 1967 when his soon-to-be father-in-law converted an old school bus to move his family to Arkansas. In 1972, Ben found a classified ad in Popular Science Magazine offering a conversion booklet. He bought the book and with his wife, Robin, converted his first bus-a 1962 GMC sKOOLie. New to the conversion process, Ben blindly followed the advice given, trusting on the expertise of others which, he says, turned out to be a big mistake. Over the years, he reflected on his experience with the notion that he could write a better book. In 2002 Ben completed the 100-page "Select and Convert Your Bus into a Motorhome on a Shoestring", followed by "Dreams on Wheels: Modern Do-it-Yourself Gypsies" and "Bus Conversion Floor Plans". His writings have appeared in Bus Conversions Magazine and he is a frequent contributor to numerous bus conversion bulletin boards. Ben and Robin Rosander reside in Washington State and are the parents of six children.

Ok it's a old book, but the plans are worth it.

Outdated and was lacking detailed information on the conversion process. Disappointed. Did not have layouts suitable for our large family.

This was just what I needed to continue on my bus conversion. It gave me an unbelievable amount of great information.

Gave me ideas but was hoping for a newer edition.

There are really only a few floor plans in this book, and they really aren't any different than the standard RV floorplan. I expected to see many plans of different ways to convert a bus, with storage and size restrictions highlighted. There is some useful information in this book, but it is the same info also available in the "Select and Convert Your Bus into a Motorhome" guide.

I was so disappointed when I receipt this book, paying so much money for it and getting a pour written and illustrated book. I could done much better getting this old (1960) picture on line.

As a big Miyazaki fan, I really enjoyed this audiobook. It gives a great perspective on both the breadth of his work, and the details of some of the films and their characters. Might be a little too much about the box office revenue of various films, but overall a good work. Well-read by narrator Mark Douglas Nelson.

This book has about 5 chapters dedicated to Hayao Miyazaki.It begins with explaining how he started his career with animation all the way through the most recent of his movie releases.Has a bibliography at the end where you can look up further sources!

David Planchard is the founder of D&M Education LLC. Before starting D&M Education, he spent over 27 years in industry and academia holding various engineering, marketing, and teaching positions. The author presents the material in the manner of a series of labyrinths, that is to say, it is done like an an intricate combination of paths in which it is difficult to find one's way or to reach to the exit. Without a doubt, the author is an expert with Solidwotks, so he does know the CAD software very well, but the student who is attempting to learn Solidworks is steadily forced or squeeze through the text in a torturous, seemlingly endless series of steps to create the CAD models with his often unclear written instructions and poorly shown graphics. Projet 10 covers additive manufacturing - 3D printing. This subject has nothing to do with Solidworks, and should not be covered in a textbook of this name. The author is verbose to the extreme. It is the unfortunate student who has to suffer through his long, boring and writing.The book is organized in 10 projects or chapters with a total of 757 pages. Project 2 on fundamentals of parts modeling is straight forward enough, it only has 601 steps over 104 pages to cover 3 parts. Project 3 on fundamentals of assembly modeling has 513 steps in 98 pages, only covered one assembly. Project 4 fundamentals of drawing has 507 steps over 92 pages, covered just one part drawing and one assembly drawing. Project 5 on extrude and revolve features, has 648 steps over 96 pages, and only covered 4 parts for a flash light assembly. Project 6 of the book on swept, lofted and additional features got worse, it has a total of 985 painful steps, over 94 pages to create just 4 parts and 4 assemblies to build the flashlight. I found in back of the chapters, the author presents several exercises which are very straight forward and are much more useful to students to learn the material than from following the main text.The very long text in each project forces the reader to jump back and forth between reading the step by step instructions, and then to the CAD session in progress. With so many steps involved in each task, and the instruction not too clear, one can get stuck at a point and not be able to continue the learning process. After many steps and pages, the reader is typically confused and frustrated. The reader then has to resort to other way to overcome the log jam. I went to Google to search for the answers on a particular command, or to the Solidworks help website for examples of doing the task. Often times, the answers are better found there then from this text. It appears to me that the author simply does not understand how students learn such a subject. Instead of showing the student with short understandable examples, he forces the student through a digestive track being subjected to grinding, squeezing, digestive juices, and blind groping to reach the unfortunate other end. I would also liken the process as sitting down to eat a meal and asked to eat a whole roast pig in one sitting. Students learn best in bite size unit. Not with a monster size Goliath of a turkey.Other modern CAD textbook authors present similar CAD subjects to the student by showing the student the the task and commands at hand, illustrates with examples, and explains the options and parameters connected to the command, so the student is never at a loss to what it is, what to do, how, and why.For the same subject material, I suggest CAD students check out "SOLIDWORKS 2017 and Engineering Graphics" by Randy Shih; "SoliwRorks 2016, A Tutorial Approach, 3rd Edition, by Sham Tickoo;, and "Solidworks 2017 Learning by Doing,", Tutorial Books.Reviewed by Luther Nieh, mehanical engineer, 08/11/2018

The tutorial video's sound is too low. I have a good new desktop and a speaker and turn on 100% of the volume, but I still can't hear it. My ears must touch the screen, but I still hear the voice too very low. I feel disappointed. When I watch any Youtube video, I only turn on the volume 50%. For this tutorial video, 100% of the volume, but I still can't hear well.

As I am the first one to review this book, I will start by saying I am a complete rugby novice, but have a fair amount of experience and knowledge in the gym and weight room. When I received the book, I immediately recognized it is full of information you could find in the top 5 articles in a Google search for "rugby workout." While this may be helpful for someone completely new to fitness, I don't feel like anyone looking for any real conditioning information will find it here. I will hand it to the author, he lists a step-by-step how-to for each exercise, but it just felt like it was just adding to the page count, not helping anyone.The reader is expected to do some heavy footwork by way of page turning back and forth to create a workout log or tracker should they desire. The author should have created a set of tables that simply broke down each workout day and was easier to follow. The rep/set scheme is laid out, but again in paragraph form and would require a fair amount of work before anyone hits the gym. I'm not opposed to this, but for a $20 book that doesn't even include page numbers, I expected more.The nutrition section, which takes up roughly 75% of the pages, is more of a Betty Crocker cookbook focusing on high-protein meals and desserts. I didn't see much of a nutrition plan per se, and no mention of nutrition basics like calorie/macro counting is found.I was hesitant to even order this book, mainly because it had no reviews and very little information could be found online about the author. I did find that he has written many books such as this, including a series of "Creating the Ultimate..." where he creates the ultimate wrestler, volleyball player, spartan racer, cheerleader, etc. He is listed as a professional athlete and coach on his sports books, a certified meditation instructor on books about meditation and mental toughness, and a certified sports nutritionist on his nutrition focused books. While I don't discredit his certifications and experience, being a professional athlete in one or even a few sports does not give you enough knowledge to write guides on 15+ sports.Overall, I do not think I would recommend this book for anyone, regardless of their situation. If it were a $5-$8 kindle ebook, maybe, but the $20 paperback that is offered is a waste. I will be returning this for my money back, and looking elsewhere for advice on actual conditioning for rugby, not step-by-step guides on how to do a dumbbell side-bend.

This book has 5 chapters.Chapter 1 is literally 2 pages - one page is the calendar for a "normal" workout schedule, and the other page is for the "intense" workout schedule. They're the exact same calendar!Chapter 2 covers the exercises to do and describes how to perform them. This is around 40 pages, but has no diagrams or pictures so it's not particularly useful.The last 3 chapters covers recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This is the bulk of the pages in the book. I would estimate 80% of the pages are recipes.There is nothing volleyball specific in the program. It doesn't provide any particular attention to the areas that are important for volleyball, it's a general workout book and you can find better ones for the money.On the other hand if you want a recipe book that happens to provide some workout advice, spend your money here.

Never been so disappointed after receveing a book ever. This is more a recipe cook book than a book about training (3/4 of the book). I if you are interested in eating a lot of dessert there is a whole chapter on that. This book has no illustration or pictures of the exercises described. I found no interesting exercises. Seems like copy paste from the 80's. Sorry.
