I am biased in writing this review. Kevin and I met during studies at the Graduate Theological Union. We were friends and fellow storytellers. He also became a hero of mine--in life and in theology. He died way too young and this book is part of his enduring legacy. His friends are the other part.This book is the summation of Kevin's love not just for the power of story but also for the power of story woven through ritual and religious thinking and teaching. As such, every man and woman, of whatever faith tradition, who dares to aspire to become a preacher, should read this book. The mystery of the Divine is "the" great story and any who wish to minister must know how to enter into the power of storytelling.I'm relieved to learn that this book is still in print and hope that it's made available as an e-book as it so deserves an ever-wider readership.
