Have you been thinking about juicing? Than this is the book for you. It gives you all the pros and cons of juicing and cleansing. It has great recipes for all kinds of pallets. It explains what kinds of juices are best for what. It goes through the right and wrong ways to juice and the best ways to extract the juice. It also goes into the different kinds of juicers and which one is best for your needs. I received this book for free but the opinions are mine
I have never juiced before, but after reading this book, I know precisely how to begin juicing--how to choose equipment, what to be aware of health-wise, what to expect on a 3-5 day juice fast or cleanse, as well as the specific benefits of juicing a range of fruits and veggies. This book is a perfect resource for someone like me--a person who has heard of juicing and been curious about it but who wouldn't know where to begin. The book was well-organized (an index would be a great addition, though!) and written in such a way that the data and research were easy to absorb. I was impressed that the author addressed the benefits of incorporating any kind of juicing into your life (even just a daily glass of fresh orange juice) if you determined that you didn't want to or couldn't do a classic juice cleanse. There was a good balance of encouragement and caution. There are a ton of recipes with helpful tips on what order to add ingredients. I liked that most of the recipes only had about 4 items and the ingredients weren't some strange, hard to obtain item I'd never heard of. If you are looking for practical juicing info and have no idea where to being, this book is for you.
I have a great interest in eating more whole foods, non-processed foods. Making fresh juice from produce makes so much sense to me. I have yet to try juicing, or buy a juicer for that matter, but I really like how the author goes in depth about all aspects of juicing for health. This is a great book to help understand what Juicing is, what it is for, how to choose your juicer, recipes and warnings about talking to your doctor. I am diabetic, and the author explained the issues with juicing and diabetes. Diabetics can still juice, just stick with more leafy greens than fruits to keep the sugar content down. The author goes in depth with what the different fruits, veggies, green and spices do to our bodies when taken in by juicing. I loved the scientific approach to explaining the uses of foods, and what they contain when used fresh compared to juices on the grocery store shelves. It is truly inspiring to read about the enzymes, vitamins, minerals and other nutrients found in fresh juicing and fresh produce that are not present after pasturization and processing. I learned a lot about the enzymes in the different foods, and it gave me a better look at what "healthy" foods and drinks from the grocery store actually contain toxing and are missing nutrients. This book is focused on a juicing "cleanse" or juicing "fast" that helps the body clear toxins and gunk from the digestive system by not taking in solid foods. This is supposed to clean out the GI tract, and allow the body to heal using the nutrients from the juicing. The book goes in depth into ways the body heals during the juicing, and special nutrients to treat different health issues. Giving our bodies these nutrients helps it work better and heal faster. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in adding nutrients to their diet using juicing. I have yet to purchase a juicer, but when I do I will use this book to help me find the juicer that is right for our needs. There is a whole section in the book on choosing the right juicer for you. I would love to add fresh juice to the diets of my family to help increase health and heal from medical issues we have. This book ends with lots of recipes..using all sorts of ingredients and indications for using different foods and spices in the juices. Some of the recipes sound so good, and others don't sound as good, but I would love to try most of them. I was given this book to review. I was not paid for my review in any way, and all opinions are my own.

Not everyone can do the juicing and they explain this to you too.It explains to you the pros and the cons of juicing. Juicing is very good for the body and can make you feel so good. At the same time it can make you feel really bad for a few days when starting the juicing detox.It will help you choose the juicer that is right for you. It will give you step by step instructions on what you need to do to prepare yourself to juice. It has a list of all of the fruits and vegetables and why they are good for you. You will be amazed at how certain vegetables and fruits can cure ailments and issues with your body.I received this book for free for my honest and unbiased review. I am so happy I did. I can't wait to get started on a new and healthy plan. I never knew that juicing could be so healthy.If you looking for a book to get you started then this is the book for you.
