Collins dislikes being called a hero, so I won't call him my hero. I will say that I have admired him since his Gemini X days for his astronaut adventures, excellent writing style, and humor. This is a wonderful book because it is so descriptive that you will feel as if you've journeyed to the moon and back with Collins. I would give the book 10 stars if that was possible. Fantastic. Wonderful. Educational. Humorous. Triumphant. How many of these adjectives will you use after reading this book? All these, and at least a hundred more, it's that good.

After reading Collins’ fantastic book “Carrying The Fire,” I wanted to learn more and read this. Beautiful writing, I’ve read over 30 books on the Apollo program and these two stand above the rest for me. Highly recommended

Not a very detailed account of his flight. Only a few nuggets that were interesting. I would have liked a little more detail on the trip and his personal interactions with his crew during the flight too and from the moon on this historical journey.

Astronaut Michael Collins' last flight was in 1969 and this remains a GREAT book for a youngster interested in space travel.

This is a good background on Mike Collins. It is not as detailed as”Carrying the Fire,” but is still a good read.

Excellent read if you have any curiosity into the thoughts and adventures of being an astronaut.Upon reading the book and meeting Mr Collins, I am even more impressed and amazed at what our space program has done and continues to do with extraordinary people who are the Louis and Clark's of my lifetime.

Pretty good book. Its not as dry as many other Presbyterian books, and they explain things well with down-to-earth terms. Let's face it, either you are a Presby-geek and you are used to dry books or you are using this for a class, so if you are in the latter, like me, you will appreciate the clear explanations that the author gives.Still, there is only so much dressing up one can do to polity - it is what it is. What's that "lipstick on a pig" quote? Yeah, well, this is polity, there is a limit to the interestingness of it all.The cover is blue and yellow - so it's got that going for it. Now go out there and get your Church Leader on and be the only guy/gal who understands how Presbyterian polity works.Or at least pass your class.

I was relieved that they came out with a new edition so soon after the new FOG went live, so to speak. As one who was prepping for the Ordination Exams, I needed something other than the Book of Order to help explore the "white space" of the new FOG. This book is definetly it. This combined with the Book of Order was all I used to prep for the Polity exam and I had no problem passing back in August. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in learning more about PC (U.S.A.) Polity, but would say it's a must read for Church Leaders (Ruling & Teaching Elders).

Gray and Tucker provide a detailed summary of the church polity as broken down in the Revised Book of Order. Several problems with this book...1. The English was messed up. The first sentence on the back cover reads..."Finally, the amazing low carb diet book published!" What the hell does that even mean?2. The first five or so pages about the low carb diet itself can be found anywhere on the internet or even Wikipedia.3. The sample meal plans are confusing. Example: Page 50 says to eat a "vegetable sandwich spread." That is very vague. What kind of vegetable sandwich spread are we talking about here?The rest of the book is recipes but given the problems listed above, you can find low carb recipes in other low carb books or you can find all of this stuff online.I thought long and hard about leaving this review but I feel two stars is worth it because it's your money.Avoid. I looked at it for five minutes and requested a refund.

I returned it to Amazon for a refund because it wasn't even worth keeping. I may sound harsh, but when purchasing a book, I believe certain standards should apply, like proper editing. Also I could not find any information in the book about the author's qualifications or background experience in this field. I only glanced through the recipe section of this book and am not super knowledgeable about low-carb dieting (that's why i bought the book) but some of the ingredients listed caused me to doubt the expertise of this author. Example ingredients used in several recipes are sugar, chocolate and all purpose flour.

Rather strange and then usual seasonings and sides I have would have to purchase for this diet. Disappointed

Easy read and simple recipes makes dieting something that I can stick to easily. No need to buy expensive food because I have everything already. Recipes are delicious.

Author Nicole Austin has created this whole world I hapily explored, our heroine is only 17 so she can be a bit bratty however it goes to be with her age.This is a RH with witches, wolves and vampires and despite the assortment of characters this author made it easy to navigate between them, as a reader who enjoys this particular genre, I been dispointed in the past as characters become merged, so here i am recommending this book to anyone who wants to get lost in an adventure.

This is the first book I read by this author, but let me tell you it won’t me my last. The books starts with the main character Rosalyn she’s a young naive 17yr old witch who is not aware of her powers she has and how to control them. In the story you meet a lot of other characters and find out . Who everyone is and what role they play in this book some of the characters I’m not a fan of, others I love so much.Gah the book ends in a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to find out more of this story. They’re were parts where I would get annoyed with the main character but it’s normal because she’s still learning who she is and her finding her role in the pnr land.

Crazy intense fight scenes and a slow burn that sets fire to the pages!I need book two like I need oxygen! Give it to me now! Yep I'm throwing a Rosalyn tantrum. That ending will blow your mind!Don't miss the stunning beginning to this author's journey!

I’m not sure how I feel about this book. I thought the paranormal aspects of the book was interesting but I got a lot of whiplash with the characters. I really didn’t care much for Rosalyn. I found her to be immature and whiney. I was confused on the love/hate that was going on with all the characters. One minute one of them is in love with her, the next he hates her, then another guy is in love with her but is kissing/marrying someone else and now she has 4 mates? She inturns is connected to another guy, loved another guy and then somehow ends up married to another guy? Totally confused and nothing really made any sense.

It captivates your entire being and sucks you in. Plan on reading it in one sitting. You won’t be able to stop. The twists and turns of this book are frustratingly beautiful. I fell in love with Rosalyn’s character and all the struggles and problems she faces. She has so many things going against her you feel so much for her and what she goes through. Her struggles are so much more than the average girl. The men - blew my mind. They are strong, manipulative, mind blowing (literally!), and all around hot, alpha men. They protect, help and inspire her to do and be the best no netter what is happening.This book will leave you with a book hangover for the year. I. Need. More. Now!!! Seriously, go buy this book! You’ll feel the same way I do!!

Wow! Nichole Austin has come out swinging with her debut novel! This book has a very unique, strong storyline that I loved reading. Her characters are interesting and I found myself wanting to know more about each of them and what makes them tick. I don't read a lot of PNR and I found myself loving the quick action of this book. I was left with so many questions and I can't wait for the next books and hopefully will get the answers that are driving me crazy!

My interest was piqued when I read the blurb but after the first chapter, I felt like I was missing paragraphs in each chapter. There was no cohesiveness in the storyline. There was barely a description of the world the book was set in. And the character development was inconsistent. The premise of the story was a good one but the execution of it needed more work.I received this book as an ARC and I voluntarily left an honest review.
